Background

The Hotel Stockalperhof opened in Brig following renovation work in spring 2020. The hotel takes its name from the Stockalper Palace, a proud emblem of the town of Brig and model for the new interior of the Stockalperhof. The hotel is once again home to moving encounters and unforgettable experiences. The Stockalperhof is a great place to relax for a while, an inescapable port of call for rich and sumptuous culinary experiences, and a new symbol for the inspiring cultural scene of Brig and its surroundings and the many clubs and associations operating in the region. Bouygues Energies & Services is equipped to provide the ICT solutions needed to plan and implement a modern hotel evacuation concept in line with official regulations.

 

Our solution

The Hotel Stockalperhof is fitted with a modern IP telephone system: the Mitel MiVoice Office 400 communication solution. Alarms in the hotel rooms are sounded via emergency broadcast, which is triggered by the new evacuation system from directly within MiVoice 400. This ensures that the hotel is equipped with the latest in fire alarm technology and is fully compliant with current safety standards.

 

Connection to the internet is essential for the hotel industry and an indispensable service for the guests of the Stockalperhof. Thanks to innovative project proposals from Bouygues Energies & Services, the management team at the Stockalperhof opted to use the Ubiquiti Networks for the hotel network. Hotel guests, personnel and administration are all satisfied with the WiFi in place. Orders are taken directly at the table and sent to the kitchen by means of the quickest route via the data network.

 

Guests can easily access their rooms by means of the batch, which they receive in the form of either a card or a PIN code. The WiFi and associated network take care of all the technical processes in the background. An additional advantage is the camera at the reception, which enables guests to enter outside of regular hours and securely monitors the outside of the hotel. The hotel software is connected via cloud and functions seamlessly. All hotel documents are stored in the cloud, ensuring that business processes are carried out smoothly and in compliance with data protection guidelines.

 

Thanks to the competent advice of Bouygues Energies & Services, the hotel is able to offer guests an appealing ambience. Music can be controlled via iPad and the lighting is integrated into the high-performance network. For the purposes of network security and to protect all end devices, a firewall from Sophos has been implemented.
