QP test run in Olten region

From 7 to 9 February 2022, electrical industry trainees of the Olten region were able to put their skills to the test during the QP test run.

Objective

The objective of the QP test run was to gauge the knowledge level of each individual as well as their individual strengths and weaknesses with regard to the qualification procedure and to see which areas would require more work for the QP. To prepare the simulation as close to examination conditions as possible, attention was paid to time and independent working.

During the QP test run, the following topics were covered:

Combination of switching devices
High- and low-voltage system
Control system technology
Measurements/fault detection
Communication technology
Customer discussion and operational tasks
Conclusions

We achieved the majority of our goals and the performance was a complete success. Based on positive feedback from our trainees, we will also organise the test run in future.

QP mock exams in February 2023

In order to prepare our trainees as effectively as possible for the qualification process, we run mock exams in all of our regions. These are aimed at making trainees aware of the time factor and preparing them as well as we possibly can for their theory and practical exams. Written QP simulation in Chur

On 3 March 2022, trainees in the electrical field (electricians and assembly electricians, both with Federal VET Diploma) in the Southeast region performed a test run of the written final apprenticeship examination. On the following day, the examinations were corrected and discussed together with the trainees, and the section on professional expertise was also simulated orally.

On 17 February 2022, the trainees in the electrical field (electrician and assembly electricians, both with Federal VET Diploma) in the aforementioned region performed a test run of the written final apprenticeship examination. On the following day, the examinations were corrected and discussed together with the trainees, and the section on professional expertise was also simulated orally.

Intensive study week in St. Gallen

From 6 to 10 December 2021, 12 trainees from the electrical field were able to put their skills to the test. 11 of these trainees are completing their apprenticeship in St. Gallen, and one in Buchs.

“Safe Attachment of Loads” training courses

Knowing how to attach loads safely can help prevent serious accidents. Therefore, only employees who have a training certificate in this field should attach loads to cranes. In May 2023, a training course on this subject was held in Aadorf.

Bouygues E&S Prozessautomation has received ISO standard 27001 certification. The standard confirms that a company has comprehensive measures aimed at protecting information and data. It was awarded following an intense year of preparations. The specialists from Olten are thereby one of the first industrial companies in Switzerland to obtain it.
