Bouygues E&S EnerTrans Ltd. has been using modern flying drones to control power lines and masts since 2014. The advantages: it is no longer necessary to switch off lines and personal safety is increased, as the power poles no longer need to be climbed. Thanks to thermovision, damaged areas on photovoltaic systems can also be located quickly and accurately or terrain surveys for surveying and 3D modelling can be carried out from the air.
