Helion takes part in the largest solar initiative in Switzerland to date

The energy services provider ewz is one of the most sustainable in Switzerland. The company consistently focuses on renewable energies and promotes innovations for a sustainable energy future in the fields of heating/cooling solutions, electricity/photovoltaics and e-mobility. It is therefore not surprising that ewz is now implementing and pursuing the largest solar initiative so far for ALDI SUISSE.
Solar initiative with a total output of 17,1 MWp
Photovoltaic systems with a total output of 17,1 MWp will be installed at around 77 ALDI branch stores. These 50 000 solar modules will make it possible to produce 16,5 million kWh of solar electricity per year, covering the electricity consumption of around 4650 two-person households*.

Helion is proud to be an important part of this solar initiative. Helion, the largest installer of solar power systems in Switzerland, is installing around half of the 78 ALDI projects on behalf of ewz. In a record time of only three months, 39 of these systems will be installed with up to eight assembly teams working simultaneously at different ALDI branch stores throughout Switzerland. The aim is to complete the installations this summer.
*Average electricity consumption per single-family home with two people is about 3500 kWh.
Our national organisation allows us to serve every location in Switzerland efficiently and with the same high quality. We are flexible and can therefore also handle larger peaks like this project. We are delighted to be able to participate in the largest solar project in Switzerland to date.
