On the Schütze-Areal in Zurich West, the city of Zurich has created a new pedagogic facility. The area consists of old and new buildings and houses a primary school, a kindergarten with day-care centre, a gymnasium, the neighbourhood centre and the Pestalozzi Library (PBZ). The KNX specialists from Bouygues E&S automation team were involved in the project and implemented the blinds and lighting control, among other things. The most striking feature of this building, however, is the special effects provided by the lighting of Kunst am Bau.
Art in focus
The well-known artists Mickry 3 enriched the recently opened school on the Schütze-Areal with concrete reliefs. The three-dimensional elements in the form of friendly and funny figures greet the kids in the entrance area. The coloured LED objects serve to put the art objects in the right light. The task of Bouygues E&S was to have these different patterns of light played synchronously with the gong system and depending on presence and time in accordance with the artistic ideas.
The following Bouygues E&S divisions were also involved in the facility:
- Switchgear construction
