What does a building services specialist do?
At Bouygues Energies & Services, we train all disciplines, such as heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration and sanitation systems.
Building services specialists work for companies within the building services industry. They help fitters with the assembly of technical building systems: Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, sanitation installations or plumbing work, depending on the focus, make up their basic training.
Building services specialists often also work in the storeroom. They put together the materials and tools required on the construction site. Or they clear away material coming back from the site and put it back on the shelves. With more minor maintenance work, they ensure that tools, appliances and machines are always ready for use.
On the construction site, building services specialists work with their superiors to assemble the systems. They are well-versed in the risks of the construction site and protect themselves and colleagues. They observe safety regulations and always wear personal protective equipment.
To prevent harm to the environment, building services specialists comply with environmental protection regulations. They dispose of used construction materials and other waste in line with company provisions.
